99 days till the May 5th horse contest in Loueeville and what I don't understand is how the Holy Bull, Sunday at Gulfstream, being a $400,000 graded race can only draw six horses. If my math is right the winner takes 240K. That would be enough in graded earnings alone in most years to make the starting gate. Then last week in the Lecomte (G3) in New Orleans a $175,000 race (winner taking $105,000) draws a full field?????
